Politics: Health Care

ICHC!

Out in the middle of nowhere, new friend and fellow-blogger Elizabeth Mika has issued a challenge to those who oppose government-run health care in the form of the public option. The thunderous lack of reaction thereto has led her to propose a wonderfully refreshing idea for the pinheads and astroturfers who have been screaming and pooping their pants about Socialism and government-run health care.

Go ahead. Click the link and take a look. And, if you're as tired of these boors and idiots as I am, click the image to enlarge it, print it out, and take it to your next Town Hall and hand it to these dumb motherfuckers with instructions to fill it in and take advantage of this fine offer immediately.

Because you know what, those stupid fuckheaded "Socialism R coming for mah Grammy" trolls really need to erase every trace of Socialism from their lives. Don't take Social Security — it's Socialist! See that word "Social" in there? It's government-run and comes from the tax money of hardworking citizens who would prefer that you retire onto a diet of dog food, now that we've abolished pensions and the Bush years have et and shat all over our 401(k)s and 403(b)s and anything else approximating retirement funds.

Get out of the public libraries and public schools, stay off the public roads, and don't accept those 'flu shots that the CDC sends out to save your life, and all, yaknow? To quote Elizabeth herself:
Think about it: with one signature, we will relieve you of the burden of having to participate in everything that has even the slightest whiff of anything socialisticky-ish: health care, for sure, should it come to that, but also Social Security, fire department, police, K-to-12 education, public parks and libraries. And, oh, while you're at it, would you please be kind enough to get the heck off our public roads? Thanks. You can use your jets or whatever it is that you use to get around without cluttering the stinky public streets and highways.
Feckin' eejits.

I'll bet they bend themselves into pretzels explaining why it's OK for them to benefit from some socialistic programs even as they make a backwards bridge of hands and feet trying to shove their own heads up their arses to resist "socialized medicine."

Hey, ambulatory turds, guess what? Any day now, hordes of Chinese teens or scary looking brown, not to mention hirsute, individuals like these will be airdropping over our cities attempting to garotte your Gran.

Hurrah! Great post!

But, ya know what? We wouldn't be able to afford a diet of dog food. We'd be grazing on the grass and weeds on public parks. That is, if the parks were open. Note: Some parks in California are closing due to lack of funds. California, once a rich state. Politicians are worthless ... most of them anyway.

You forgot the public run electric companies and the water department. They can dig their own wells and put up their own solar panals

Thank you, TPC. We are doing our best, aren't we, to improve the lives of everyone, even disgruntled libertarians and out-of-their-freakin'-minds wingnuts.

But frankly, I'm terribly disappointed that there has been no response from either group so far. How could it be? I would imagine they should jump at the opportunity to live government-free lives. Yet no one is willing to sign up... Go figure.

I'm thinking I'll have to, as they say it these days in the capitalist-speak, incentivize wingnuts a bit more. So I will add free tickets to the government-free paradise for everyone who signs up. That will surely convince the wingnuts to do what's only right. Right?

(BTW, no need to answer. ;)

Hey, Ms. M - yer probly right. Well, not the high-end dog food, anyway. Frank Zappa saw it all coming, in Green Hotel. Nobody gives a damn but us, we, the people. And we're not giving up the fight. Astroturfers be damned.

Demeur — I think Elizabeth covered that. At least I'll do the cowardly thing and toss the ball in her court. :D

Elizabeth — Not one of these morons would even think of giving up Medicare, Social Security, or any other government benefit. They just whine about it either because they're pig-ignorant, or paid, or extremely alienated from logical thought. But you knew that.

I like the way you put it, TPC. There is a sociological study to be done on that very topic. ;)

I want a divorce from the fucking scum sucking insurance companies. Call it irreconcilable differences. I don't want to do business with those bastards anymore. I do not want their fucking product. Please sign me up for single payer or failing that, I'll gladly buy into a public option. The way things are going it looks like I'll have to wait till I can qualify for Medicare. I say Medicare for all us smart people now! The stupid bastards who don't want "socialized" medicine because they are so fucking terrified of a word they don't even understand can keep on getting scammed from the insurance companies with coverage denied and pre-existing conditions. The rest of us smart people can get the health care we need. Thank you TPC!

Great post, TPC!

I think the sleeping liberal dragon is beginning to wake up -- I notice more outrage in various blog posts, op-eds, and commentaries.

I love my family dearly, but they're all Christian Republicans. We don't talk about these issues between us.

But I want to ask them, what would Christ say about all this commotion? What about all the people who don't have insurance - some are actually dying. What about the Christian ideals that the Bible actually talks about?

I am shaking my head and my anger is rising. Thank you for your posts as well as the ones you've linked to. Finally people are waking up to the anger they are feeling and expressing it.

Your words are uniquely salty. You've captured our anger so well!

Hope you're feeling o.k. lately. Take care.
